Front Page Banner Advert box is not centered / rides touching top menu bar

Hate to bug you guys over something that may seem trivial.

I implemented the Adsense banner code in top banner and at first it was looking as it should.

For some reason - it is now "pinned" to the top menu bar and looks crummy. I didn't do anything - swear!

I deleted the code - turned banner off - and re saved. The top went back to "no banner look - then re-entered the banner from scratch and it is showing the same. I use the same code on my other site and all is well - and again - it worked perfect at first - thyen just "didn't".

Any clues?
