Help with my permalinks

Hate to be impatient, but I'm somewhat desperate for help

I am having an issue with my permalinks. They are currently "default" and everything works fine, however Employers are not able to "Edit" their job postings. When they select edit, the page just refreshes. I then tried a "custom structure" permalink by adding %postname% and this enables Employers to edit jobs but then they're unable to Browse Resumes and certain other links are broken. I KEEP editing my .htaccess via Godaddy but for some reason when I go back and check it, it is not reflecting a change and just says;

# BEGIN WordPress

# END WordPress

I also read that there may be an issue if jobroller was uploaded as a folder. How do I fix this? Here's my URL: For Real Jobs
