Still, "unknown Sender" is an unresolved bug in the apps
I downloaded and used a plug in that seemed to fix the email issues I was having with JR but when using the "submit request" in the program I receive an email from "unknown sender" as was seen before via other requests.
I submitted my observation of a fix to my host / isp and they responded
"Hi Mark,
Thank you for your reply and additional information.
However, we highly believe the issue is not related to PHP mail function or any SMTP plug-ins. These two features are only related to e-mails that are generated by scripts within your website in real-time. The original reported issue (simple mail forwarding) is managed by the mail server exclusively and does not involve any web server components (e.g. PHP scripts / SMTP plug-ins).
That being said, we are glad to hear that the issue has been resolved."
This suggests that there is an actual bug in the JR and Clasipress s/w as problems that are very similar have been reported in both. Should not be hard to pin down - but it is becoming apparent that this is a application s/w problem and not a "host" email configuration issue.
Pepsi - you have all my log in info so pleae feel free to use me as a Guinea Pig to assist in getting this fixed. Together we will fix this!
Cheers,
Mark - VancouverGameJobs.ca
