"Show Toolbar when viewing site" setting changed by saving profile in front end

Updated today.

When I edit my user profile from the front end (in order to test that the other bug was fixed), the changes made are saved but the setting for "Show Toolbar when viewing site" is cleared. The Taskbar disappears from the top of the screen when the User Profile page is refreshed with the "success" message, and it never comes back until I log in with .../wp-admin, navigate to the setting (Users/Your Profile) and check the box again.

It seems to me that this is inappropriate behavior.

I want to be able to see things from the user's point of view.

Saving the profile from the front end should not mangle the profile in the back end.
