Categories showing wrong number of listings

Hi please can you help me!

The categories are not showing the right number of posts.

So in Surrey I 'have' 2 posts created, 1 under IT/Computer Services and the other in Restaurants which is correct, however there are 3 showing under Essex, 1 under Plumbers and 2 under Restaurants when I have nothing created in Essex or these sub categories!

Hope this makes sense! Really need to get it sorted! I have made sure that there are no posts in listings or normal wordpress posts that are live or trashed that relate or are tagged to Essex.
