Custom Form Fields. Change Listings Category data vanishes.

So I have 2 Category's A and B and create ONE custom form attached to both Category's.

I create Ed's Diner with custom form data and assign it to Category A.
Everything is fine but as it turns out Ed's Diner should be in Category B.
I edit the listing in question and change it to the correct category of Category B.
Now all the custom form data vanishes. If i switch it back to the original Category everything shows back up!

Any idea on a work around even if its just editing a value in the database I am open to suggestions.
