Double comment/review notifications?

I just noticed that my Vantage site has been double-notifying listing owners of reviews. That is, it sends one notification that says there's a new comment, and then it sends another notification that says there's a new review.

Weirder yet, the link to the comment doesn't work. Sure, it'll take you to the listing, but it won't jump to the review/comment like it does when you click on the review link.

Apparently, this was an issues way back in 2014, but there's no solution posted.

The issue with the comment link (vs review) is still an ongoing issue with my RSS feed, actually, as all the links in the feed are for reviews and not comments. So when users click the links, they're taken to the listing but not to the specific review, which kinda defeats the point of a direct link.

For the record, I deactivated all plugins and tested this, and it was still an issue.

I welcome any helpful input which might help me resolve this.
