"Random" sort causes repeat listings on pages 2,3 etc

I have my listings set to Random, to give every member a fair chance at being top of the list. However, I notice that means every page is random

So for instance, say I go to my "Costumes and Accessories" category. http://bellydanceoz.com/profile/cate.../?orderby=rand

The first page is good. However if I click on page 2, I don't get the second page of results. Instead, the results are all randomised again, so some of the entries from page 1 appear again. The same thing happens on subsequent pages. Obviously a reader is going to get annoyed by seeing the same results again and again. What's going on?

I really, really, really don't want to set my listings to Default or Alphabetical, so the same listings get top billing every single time. How can I fix this?
