Strange password error on the Register page

First, my site had been hacked, but did a full re-install, everything seems ok except that the register page has 3 password fields that when details are entered into the first, they show in the 2nd field. When completing the Password Again field it deletes the first email fields, and nothing shows in the field.
Somebody else seems to have the same problem, but there has been no reply yet.
