Uk search again problems with searching in vantage 1.3

I have set up a directory at www.southfieldslondon.co.uk.

It has about 70 entries presently.

Search is not working as expected. For example if I search for 'Indian' it brings up 3 results, 2 of which have no Indian tag or title.

If I search for Thai, it returns no results, despite there being a business called 'Thai girder'

If I search for optician it returns no results, despite the being at least two optician businesses in the listings.

If I go to the categories menu and click on health and beauty, you see the opticians.

If I just search for beauty with no place specified, I get 0 results, despite there being a whole category called health and beauty.

The site focuses specifically on one area of london, postcode sw18 and sw19. Sometimes results will return if I place a search in with no place specified, at others if I put sw18 in the place search bar along with the search term I get a result. Series no results are returned no matter what I do!

Please help, if I begin to offer this to businesses in my area they will naturally search for their business name, or part thereof, or their business area (eg: optician, restaurant, beauty salon etc) and they will be seriously underwhelmed at the results.

I invested in the theme thinking that it was a complete solution to my requirements for a simple local directory, and was assured by presages that it was more than adequate for the job.

At the moment I could not promote this to the business community I am focussing upon. Help!!!
