Very large photos uploaded by customers
I added a listing in Vantage and noticed I could add 5 photos as large as 2.05MB or 2000x3000 pixels each. I didn't have any larger. I'm just thinking about having a couple hundred listings with images that are very large in file size. 500 listings x 5 large photo files = 2500 very large files...If your thinking like me, it can be much more. I can pretty much guarantee you that people listing will just upload whats available without thinking about file size.
Most people don't use editing software or don't know how to set their cameras to take smaller file photos.
I wonder if this should be something the developers should look into. Maybe set a specific file size per upload.
If so, how many files in a directory are too many, and what are the impacts of having too many large photo files? Does it matter how many files I keep in a single directory? What's the impact of having hundreds or maybe even thousands of large images. What about the server and costs?
