Search location doesn't seem to do anything - same results regardless of location

Hi,
No matter what location I enter in the "near" field, I get the exact same search results. I have tried cities all over the world and suburbs closer to the results, it makes no difference. If I search for a plumber anywhere in the world it lists the same search results in the same order. And I have no distance radius filter.

I am using the vantage search widget plugin.

I am using latest Vantage, only just purchased and installed this week.

Also is there a way to order the search results by distance if people are searching by location?? Kind of an essential feature in a directory.
