Possibilities of ClassiPress

I am still working on this site, so it is not public. But I have wanted to get away from the default layout.
I modified not only the CSS but the files themselves as far as <divs> and where the functions would output code.
This is heavily SEO modified way beyond the norm internally.
I created the dropdown categories menu on the right because I have so many categories. The one panel that I have clicked on shows a dropdown of the sub-categories. The color scheme is still changing but I wanted some drama going along with Latin colors and lifestyle.

this might be a newbie question but how to change the background?

how do you want to change it?
I mean do you want a solid color? a picture? a jQuery based bg that moves itself?
