Showcase themes with mods only

Hi guys, i dont want to sound awful, but please only showcase your theme if you have made changes to the layout.no one wants to see a theme with no changes. 2 great examples are North West Jobs | Blackburn | Accrington | Burnley | Preston | Bolton | Wigan | Nelson | Lancashire | Vacancies and Jobs throughout the North West & Elo Criativo
to showcase your theme youmust make changes, otherwise as developers (amateur or pro) we wont learn anything.
Please bare this in mind.Maybes you will disagree with me.
The staff at appthemes are going to agree with you if you ask them 'does my site look ok' However ask me for honest feedback & I will give it to you.

Minor changes and good execution with good logos, etc. can be very interesting to see. A site worth seeing needn't be a reinvention of the wheel. While I absolutely adore the work on Best restaurants in Sydney, Takeaway, Delivery, Menu, Order online, Reviews, Opinions, Feedback, Table booking and some other sites here, as a user with decent HTML, css, and graphical skills I am just as likely to get some ideas from a site with a good category list, nice color scheme, etc. Not all of App Themes users are truly code developers. Some don't even have the HTML skills. I do agree that a simply put up site with only the most basic of elements to make it functional may not be but so interesting but that may be the persons first website and just doing that may be something. From what I can see, some of those sites are almost as likely to be successful as some that are functionally beautiful. A lot of it is the old 'find a need and fill it' situation. If someone did that, I am interested too, fancy or not.

easy tiger...i mentioned only that unmodified templetes/thehems should NOT be showcased. Thats It & it was only my opinion.
A showcase should only include modded versions of appthemes. fair point ?

Hello Doorman, i like the way you have used your headspace .your pages are cool,(extra pages) however slight text and css issues on the full width pages, have you tried using 'blocks' or tables instead of using the editor ? nothing to lose any sleep over. my honest feedback would be 6/10 Good effort ^Gary

How about a compromise? Posters could state on the post title whether it's the default theme or if they've customized it...
I understand that the pros aren't excited to see another default theme, but as a newbie I also understand the desire to ask those more experienced for their thoughts on our site. Then we need to understand how to implement what the pros suggest, but that's another story all together

areis,I used the default theme with minor mods...personally i think out of all the themes default is the cleanest & requires minimul effort, it all depends on what you want your site to look like.
Regarding pro developers. (im a amatuer dev, but an expert with seo) Just thought id mention it, Regarding pro developers, most who I have contacted want a fee to assist on the project, which personally i feel a little frustrated with.
All i can suggest is ask peeps onhere for assistance, 99% are willing to asisst you for free, the 1% will ask you for a charge.

Hi again, do we both agree because your using full width pages your css is slightly out ?
Theres a solution, you can either use tables (html & css) or blocks. this will tidy up any css errors.
