Author name doesn't update on detailed page.

Hi,

I have just noticed that when you update an author name from the admin control panel, it doesn't update on the detailed page.
Note, I have save the new name and then updated the "Display name" from the drop list without any luck.
Am I missing something?

Okay, I am replying to my own post.

The author name is stored into an extra field: "Name".
My question is, are users allowed to update this field?

Did you try updating the name field on a certain post via your dashboard and see if that worked?
