    Unhappy CSASSIPRESS LOADS SLOWLY

Classipress loads slowly. I've tried visiting the websites being showcased using classipress and just like my mine, they load slowly...any solution for that?

Personally I don't find it too slow, and obviously ISP's will make a difference.

I recommend reading this thread though: http://wpclassipress.com/forum/viewt...4&t=439&p=6437. Particularly David's suggestion.Do you have the WP Super Cache plugin installed?

Also, this thread relates as well with some suggestions. http://wpclassipress.com/forum/viewt...4&t=495&p=2416

Please let us know if you have any more questions about this.

The main slowness issue I have is when people add images to their ad with very large dimensions. Then when clicking on the thumbnail to view the image, it can take ten seconds or more to load the image. I guess the resizing of the image is what takes a while.

Other than that, my site doesn't seem either fast or slow, unless my host is having issues which make my site slow.

Yeah, I admit I have the same problem with user pics occassionally. I just manually resize them, but it can take a little while if there are lots of ads posted at the same time. I feel like at the moment I would rather not inconvenience the user by setting a lower size limit, so they don't tend to know I have made any changes..but it would be nice for this sort of thing to be automatic.

I recall a wordpress plugin that would scan your media folder and re-size all the previously generated thumbs and med-sized images. If I can find it I will post it here, but I suggest looking for a plugin that will let you resize things with one click. Might not be 100% automatic but it would work for the time being.

I would suggest replacing calls to classipress resize.php with timthumb, it is a lot faster and caches the images. I use it here while I build my project at http://hostm3.com and it's working well.
