    Question Edit Ad Issue

I've been doing some searching and noticed I wasn't the only one with this problem. I've not seen a post specific to my issue though.

I've set a user as Contributer and have Edit Ads turned on but only as an admin can I see this option. Unfortunately, we bought this product almost or over a year ago... so I'm not really sure where the instructions might be at this point. I'm willing to give those a go but not sure if it will solve the problem.

My other issue is editing the photos or adding new ones to a post. As an admin I'm taken to the dashboard which doesn't help much because the basic upload function is not present in this section. If I were to get the edit ad for contributer working, would this solve the issue? Would they be able to easily add/remove photos?

    Thoughts and ideas appreciated.

First of all, what version of ClassiPress are you using? I ask because you have posted in the v2.9.3 and earlier section of the forums, so I just need to check, and this may also help determine where the problem lies. Thanks.

Sorry, for some reason I thought you could see that!

Based on the bug fix log in the theme directory, 2.9.2 is the most recent version I have.

    Thanks for clarifying

Is it your preference to use the older version? Because we are up to 3.0.4 of ClassiPress now which has many more features and functions than the previous version, although the look of it is of course, completely different. The version you are using did not allow the same kind of ad editing you get now with the user dashboard in 3.0 and above, so if you're trying to get this working in 2.9.x it would require customization on your part as it simply didn't exist.

My thoughts would be that upgrading to the latest release would be your best option.
