    New User Registration Email Goes to Spam Box

    Hi guys

    My "New User Registration Email" Goes to Spam Box in Outlook BUT not in Gmail.

    I am using the CP recommended plugin for New User Email.

    Hostgator hosting.

    Any idea?

    I did my first test reg on a site I'm probably gonna launch today or tomorrow.

    First, I did a test reg with "Use Custom Email Header" set to "Yes" within the CP settings menu. Result: the new reg email landed in the spam folder within my gmail-for-domains email account.

    Second, I did a test reg with "Use Custom Email Header" set to "No". Result: Success! email landed in inbox within my gmail-for-domains email account.

    At time of above tests I did not have installed the plugin that comes with CP called "New User Email Setup".

    I tried installing that plugin just now and received the message "Plugin could not be activated because it triggered a fatal error." I think I experienced this before and that is why it wasn't installed in the first place.

    Well, I'll probably launch with emails being sent from "Wordpress", which ain't pretty.

    What else can we do?

    With regards to the New User Email Setup Plugin, yes there are issues with this (as discussed in this thread). It's not ClassiPress specific as I have tested it on the default theme as well with no luck. I have logged a ticket with the development team to see if there is anything they can do to get it working, however it may be that we end up recommending a different welcome plugin. You may want to check the thread I linked to above for examples of what other people use instead..
