posting problems (2.8)

I had v2 installed, upgraded to v2.8

Compared all files and made changes.
Everything seemed to be working fine EXCEPT posting an ad.

Completed all fields, (checked, double checked and triple checked) but each time I hit "submit" I got an error "Please complete the mandatory fields" - even though I know 100% all fields had been completed - No indication of which field was missing information.

I am thinking it is a problem with the description field as each time the error displays the counter rests to 5000 even though there is content there.

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Do you know exactly which version of 2.8 you have? 2.8.2 is the latest. I'd also be happy to take a look if you could create a login so I can try to simulate the problem and troubleshoot it.

I've removed the changed files and reverted back for now.
My version is 2.8.2

So it's working fine since you reverted back? Version 2.9 will be out next month so you might just want to wait until then anyhow.

Yes. Reverting back to the old v2 works fine. I'll wait for 2.9.

We are experiencing the exact same issue. Running 2.9.2
Can't post. All fields are filled in but we get the "Please complete the mandatory fields" notice and the display counter resets to 5000.

Any suggestions?

nevermind


had to remove a tag in the form_process.php file regarding a field we removed.
