Quick Edit Issue - Ad author changes

I am finding that if I use "Quick Edit" to approve an ad, the author of the ad becomes me (not the poster). However, using the standard edit button to publish an ad keeps the original poster as the author.
I'm using 2 separate machines to test this. When the ad is in DRAFT mode the correct author is displayed.

That sounds like a WordPress bug to me. I haven't heard of such a bug but it might have already been logged with WordPress. You might want to do a Google search and see if anyone else using WP is having the same problem.

Didn't find anything thru Google & did a quick test on another install. On the other install when approving using quick edit the original author remained. I also noticed in CP that there is no "Author" field in quick edit. Not a huge deal but it was causing issues when testing because none of the ads were showing up on the dashboard as the author was changed when approving through quick edit.

If your visitors aren't registered before posting an ad, then the ad comes in as a blank author. If you approve the ad, then you will be the owner. That's how it has to work since they aren't registered authors on your site. I assume you aren't requiring registration on your site?
