Search Issues

I'm unable to get any search results with a default classipress install.

I've installed a fresh version of wordpress 2.8.4. I have 3 themes, the Wordpress Default Theme, an untouched fresh version of Classipress 2.9.2 and my reworked version of Classipress. Toggling between the themes the only one that gives me search results is the default theme from wordpress. I've tried replacing classipress's search.php page with the search.php page from the default theme's and it still gives me no results.

I assumed that it had to be the functions file. I removed the 3 references to the custom search functions in the file and then I did get results, but only if the search word was in the title, description or tags. Plus then it also pulled page results as well.

Is anyone else having this issue?

Might be a database issue. I'm going to rebuild everything. If it still doesn't work I'll post again.

Figured out my problem. I added custom fields such as age, weight, breed, etc. Some of the names must have conflicted with something else in wordpress or classipress so it messed up the database. It still worked but it broke the search. Luckily I'm just starting on this site so I don't have it up and running. I basically had to start with a clean database, modify all of the custom field names that I added (following the tutorial from this forum) so the names would be unique and then fire up wordpress. Pain in the butt but it seems to be working now.
