Users cant edit their own ads

    Hi there,

My website is www.mura.com.ph. I have already click on the admin ALLOW ADS EDITING so that they could edit their ads. Is there anything else that I should do so that the users can edit their owns ads? Cause they could not edit their own ads. I need to login to admin to edit the users ads. They could click edit on the user's dashboard but all they could see is a page that says EDIT. But nothing is on it. Please help

Are you referring to unregistered users? Only registered users can access the dashboard and edit their ads..

Even if they are registered, they can't edit their post.

Sounds like you possibly need to go back and make sure you have followed all the steps to create the Dashboard? Also check the user permissions are set to Contributor.

Re: Users cant edit their own ads

I am having same problem. My dummy user is unable to edit posting. "allow edit to posting" is yes and is set to Contibutor. When I try to edit post by clicking "My Dashboard" in upper right, I get a 404 error.? Users are supposed to have this ability correct? That was listed as part of the features. Thanks for any help.

Please ready ansd follow all the install directions in the manual. In your theme file youll find a readme-first file with a link to the install file. When your at the install file go to the "User Dashboard & Profile Setup" section to learn how to install user pages.

I am having similar problems to users above. I have already click on the admin ALLOW ADS EDITING and my user is set to contributer.

    My website is http://rugbycupnz.com/accommodation/

Users who have paid for ads on my site cannot edit them, this is becoming an urgent problem for me. Please help!

Sorry we had missed your post because you have continued on from a very old thread in the 2.9.x section of the forums...

I have registered to your site to test it out but obviously with paid ads I can't proceed with publishing an ad to test it further. If you want to PM me access to wp-admin I'd be happy to have a better look into it. Thanks.
