Change Listing Category Taxonomy

Hi,
The default Listing Category urls of Vantage are: exmaple.com/listing/category/category-name
but this is not very good from SEO point of view.Do you have an idea how to remove these category base keywords from the url,so the category url will look like this: exmaple.com/category-name (i'm talking about listing categories,not regular wp categories)
or at least to remove one of the words.When i try to remove the listing category base from permalinks menu,get error message: "Vantage custom post type and taxonomy URLs cannot be empty. Empty options will default to previous value"

P.S. :there are few plugins which removes category base in wp,but they don't work with vantage listing categories.
