Free listing with restrictions and able to upgrade to paid version anytime

This is for the Appthemes developers but I have added it to the general discussion forum because it's not actually a bug or technical issue.

I would like to have an option to create an unlimited time free plan that allows for basic information and also the ability for the client to upgrade to a paid version with all features at any time.

Basic free plan (restricted plan) would include fields such as:
Title
Map location/address
Ph
Website
Facebook
Twitter
Google+
One Category
Tags

This disallows any media content such as photos, videos, sound tracks, documents, custom fields, business description and more categories added to the listing until the client upgrades to the paid version at anytime they decide. I want as many people to sign up even if it's just for the free version but have the paid version be very attractive for these existing clients to upgrade to. This would open up a whole new world of business for any directory business owner. Linkedin is a good example. You can create a free profile but they also offer a paid premium version.

I would like to know if this is something that will be coming in the near future for Vantage or if I need to hire a developer to do it. If I need to hire a developer because this feature is not coming, does anyone know how to do it and what will it cost?
