Navigation Drop Down Menu Quirk

Say for example I have the "Create Listing" tab in my primary navigation header and decide to add all the listing categories underneath to create sub headers in the appearance-->menu section I am getting a strange result.

When I add a couple of categories it works pretty much alright though there are some spacing issues due to longer listing categories.

However, when I add about five categories or more it will show the first three or so categories in a typical dropdown menu fashion. However, this menu drops down in and runs into a second sub menu that lists all the categories in a column fashion very similar to how the categories page lists the categories when you click on that page.

For example:

Create Listing

• listing category 1
  listing category 2
  listing category 3
  listing category 4

Then I would get all of those listing categories and the remaining ones I added in the menu page to show up right below this like you see on the category page.

Any idea why this is happening?
