    Removing category from URL

    I hope this is in the right place.

    I'm using the Vantage theme and was wondering how to remove /category/ from the listings URL? I had made a modification to core.php but that caused any listings made to 404 so I had to revert back.

    Hoping to find a more "official" way of doing it.
