Showcase: Vantage themes in the wild
I was looking through some examples of Vantage on the Showcase page and randomly picked one which I then signed up to in order to see how it works and was quite shocked that when I was signed in I was able to access the backend admin of the site!
I could, if I'd wished, added a post! I won't name the site in question.
Not only that, but filled out the first step of the listing process and clicked Next Step, I got a message saying something along the lines of: "Sorry but we don't have a plan for that category, please come back later"
What?!!!!
Looking at another example in the showcase I clicked the 'Add A Business Now' button and got an error message telling me:
"To create a listing on Locate 'N' Rate, you need to login or register first"
This seems to be the case with ALL of the sites I was looking at in the showcase:

I would've thought a better, and more user friendly, approach would be to serve potential advertisers a dual purpose page which allowed them to
either register or sign in?
Having clicked on quite a few of the showcase example sites, I haven't yet seen one that tells me how much (or how free) the listings
are. And none of them seem to allow users to add a profile photo (it takes your photo from Gravatar which I feel is never a good idea as most
people will not know what that is).
Of the 24 Vantage sites on the Showcase page only 4 of them have attempted to break free from the generic default design.
I was hoping to find some inspiration.
