    Speeding Up Vantage Theme / Database?

    Vantage theme has been running slow for some time, possibly since installation. I've currently got somewhere between 3k-4k records in the database. The slow part is approving new listings, it takes forever for all the "stuff" to load up so I can review / approve a new listing.

    I'm running my own dedicated machine...not shared hosting, so this thing should hum along. I'm looking for some ideas, tweaks, etc. to speed everything up or I'll have to start considering some other solution.

    - Can or are there any caching methods that have been tried / used successfully with Vantage theme?
    - Are there any PHP / mySQL tweaks that can be made?
