Thread: using dev file

using dev file

Is there a tutorial re using the dev file? I want to update to the latest version but don't want to lose any of the theme customizations I've already done if possible. I've not done anything extensive like a child theme (yet), edits are mainly background image, custom form, etc.

Also, it was mentioned in another thread just to unzip and upload the contents of the dev file, replacing the vantage folder on my server. Is it possible to just upload/install the dev zip file from the WP dashboard?
