    Lightbulb Combining Joomla and WordPress ! ?

    Dears,
    I am creating a classified ads web site for my country, but I was thinking of expanding this business in the future to include sites like auctions, online stores ... etc...
    how about combining joomla with wordpress, so I can benefit from the strenghs of both like this:

    www.mysite.com ---> joomla main site (has links to the sub sites)
    www.mysite.com/classifieds ---> wordpress+classipress site
    www.mysite.com/auctions ---> joomla

    or it's not recommended ?

    If this work for you then why not recommend?
    Of course you can have your project this way, different installation per part... the main problem it is administrating all that separate "parts" since you'll have different users for classifieds than auctions
