Contact Form 7

Hi

I have just installed Contact Form 7 to my website footer without a hitch, wonderful, easy to follow instructions. However, I have two issues with the live page:

1. The new contact page has two forms on it "Contact Us" (the one I want) and "Leave a Reply" which I don't understand why its there and is confusing to an end user, so I want to delete it, how is this done?
2. Also, when I fill out the "Contact Us" form and click "send" I don't receive anything? so I'm assuming I need to link this to a particular email account which isn't explained in the instructions, how is this done? However, when I fill in the "Leave a Reply" form and click "Leave a Reply" it appears on the site (I don't know the purpose of this, it looks like a blog which I have already removed from my site) and it is also sent to my email address which I do not want.

The part "Leave a Reply' is not from the contact form. It appears because you created a Wordpress page and pasted the shortcode inside there. All you need to do is uncheck the possibility to comment on that page.

However, i'm moving this thread to the "WordPress General Discussions" as this has nothing to do with help for ClassiPress.

Thanks for the feedback Samcy but I’m still a little lost here and still trying to navigate wordpress. Could you clarify "All you need to do is uncheck the possibility to comment on that page."

Is there a “turn off comments” box somewhere that I am not seeing. I've been on the "Contact" "Plugins" "Comments" and "Screen Options" sections on my wordpress dashboard, checking and unchecking boxes but all the tweaks I've tried has not removed the "Leave a Message" form which is still underneath my "Contact Us" form.

Hi Global,

Go to your WordPress admin area, => Pages and open (edit) your contact page (the one where you placed the shortcode from Contact Form 7 inside). Now on the top-right side of the page you will see "screen options". Open that and checkmark "Discussions":

Now scroll down and find the options to switch on/off the discussions. That's the place where you uncheck "allow comments"

Save your settings and that's it.
