How To Back Up Wordpress / Classipress Site

Hi everyone

I want to know how to make a clean and reliable backup and reinstall of a wordpress + classipress website, well im using classipress, im sure its similar if not same for other themes. Could the mods or anyone please guide us, like a tutorial or detailed post? its really important as i dont want to lose the work and ads ive got up, incase some X comes screws my sites again.

Im totally confused, and im sure many people new to this are in same position, what do we need to back up? Mysql database? Content? Home directory? Whats the phpmyadmin about, help! confused dot com.

Please demonstrate a backup onto desktop/folder and be easy for the new ones thank you.

I use the plugin below. It has been flawless and backs up everything in no time at all. In my opinion, it is money well spent.

or use wordpress duplicator plugin, witch does the same and is free.

I was thinking manually and having a hard copy on file.

Without plugins, or paid option.

it seems nice, but it's kinda gay that you have to pay a monthly price, and they probably lose 90% customers because of that

If you say so, you are the boss man... client it is who decide.
But before the timthumb issue posted in the forum "they" sent me a personal message explaning me the risks and solutions for this. So this is not only a backup system but real people monitoring issues, security problems, giving you advices,,,, also... and this is not gay at all. At original WordPress products, with so much free stuff over the network, you paid for what you really get.

XCloner is what I use. It backs up everything (though you can choose for only specific things) and it's free. Came highly recommended.

Are you asking about XCloner? It exports everything so in theory if I wanted to transfer the site to a new hosting company then I just upload the backup file there and the whole site is ready to go.
