Learning how to modify themes, php, css etc

Hey folks,
I'm relatively new to the whole modifying themes stuff. I have been playing with it in the past, but with no real guidance. I was wondering if there were any good books, video or what not that would help me understand the way things work, code etc.
Any suggestions would be great.

When I bought ClassiPress I knew nothing outside of a very small amount of HTML. While the ClassiPress Forum tutorials and such were extremely helpful, things really started to click when I went through this tutorial:

If you really want to learn how to modify WP themes, learning how to build one from scratch is extremely useful. Now I'm fairly proficient with making Mods to ClassiPress and other Themes.
