Specifics are

Doing Cron = Yes (because my hosting say there are no cron events)

Core and Custom Events and the associated hooks (if someone could just give me the run down on what takes place with these or should take place, because as you an see the periods of time are way off)

Just need someone elses view on what is taking place

Anyone fancy helping out a little here?

If someone or several could download this plugin http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/debug-objects/ and take a look a what their cron is doing and post results in relation to what is happening with the pruning of ads I would be grateful

Just loaded up a site with CP as another test and had notifications being sent to start with and slowly but surely they stopped just like all the other sites with the time to next event going backwards or should I say increasing each day that passes

Really need to get to the bottom of this I can't push my site on until I know its working correctly

and from my hosting

The cron facility is supported by us, however the part that isn't supported is loopback connections. It is possible to bypass this for some scripts, by using the full server path (ie 'http://www.yourdomain.com/script.php', becomes '/home/sites/yourdomain.com/public_html/script.php') as this will bypass the loopback rule. Some scripts will not work this way though, so you will need to check and see if the WordPress backup script you are trying to use will work Ok being called this way.


Finally set a schedule through control panel (effectively a cron job) to trigger wp-cron every hour which appears to have sorted the last but one issue I had with CP - Now just need that Transaction Tab sorting and I think I might have a green light

PS Had a schedule set up initally to trigger wp-cron and believed it to be working but it wasn't I missed the space in this command

I want to activate cron job on my classified site. I have bought your
Classified software already. There is some ads on my site which have many
month. I have already specified inside the admin area of the site that the
Ads should take only 30 days and the Ads placed in the Featured Listing
section an the Top Ads section, must take only 3 days or 7 days depend on
the pack that the user will choose. Now, I want to have the cron job command
to put on the cpanel table for to activate the process. In the classipress
section, I have activated the Prunes Ads for to remove the expire ads on the
site and I have also activate the cron schedule to do the process daily. I want
to know what to put now in the cpanel cron job table

I wait your feedback regards the command to put on the cpanel cron job
table. Also, indicate me which common setting to choose for the process.
should I choose the " once a day" as a commons setting on the cron job for
to activate the process. I see on the cron job of the cpanel this fiels:
Common setting, minutes, hour, day, month, weekend. What to put inside these
fileds? Also what the command to put in the command field?

Is it this one:
/usr/bin/php5 /home/sites/yourdomain.com/public_html/directory of wp
installation/wp-cron.php

For the common setting field, will I have just to choose: Once a day? Is it
correct?
