Thread: Is anybody using Rubencios Classipress Mobile Plugin from wprabbits?

This is not about updating or upgrading a product (an already finished and tested one) in order to make it compatible with newest versions... note this is like a whole new development, with huge improvements.

Anyway I'm not here to convince anybody to do this or that... you can get the actual version FULLY WORKING on ClassiPress 3.1.X, 3.2 and 3.2.X versions but if you want the features already discussed here (including posting ads via mobiles) you'll have to wait until we really finish it, test it and feel comfortable/safe enough with the final approach (BTW, I'm not pushing anybody to do anything).

Why to start making money (in a hurry) selling a product maybe not fully/seriously/deeply tested? Nor as a mature product?...
Not you but for sure some other clients are more than happy with our procedure.

Ruben, take a look at this post, I already flagged it to Tony, specially the Blog post Map display, this was happening since Version 1 and it just doesnt make sense, so I dont know about your "fully working" statement, clearly this wasnt tested properly.

By the way, speaking on my behalf of course, its not to down-talk the plugin or the effort put into customizing it to fit CP's theme, yet consider this a contribution to put the priorities on the already deployed products, yes your upgrades are slow compared to other developers, hence why it was stated previously.

I am not saying that your plugin does not work, but it does not cover all of the functionality I require, the main function being "post an ad".

Updating, upgrading and/or adding of new features is taking a considerable amount of time for you to finalise, so I was merely asking if you have made any further progress on this to date.

I appreciate adding extra features takes time to perfect and you have done a good job so far, and it does work, kind of... I am not sure I would use the statement "fully working".

I have seen other websites using your plugin and on my iphone, http://www.immotipp.net being one poor example. They say they are happy with it, good for them, but to me it looks a little messy and unfinished. Maybe they have not upgraded to your latest version? As your screencast looks much better. However, it's still not quite the finished product I was hoping for just yet.

I am now under the impression that responsive websites are now the way forward, and since Appthemes have announced their intention to make all their themes responsive, and given that your plugin is not yet finalised and doesn't appear to be anytime soon. So instead of waiting on you or Appthemes, maybe I should get on with building one myself

Good luck with updating/Upgrading, Adding new features to your plugin Ruben! Let me know if you ever get the "post an ad" implemented.

Thanks a lot as usually for giving smart words. We have had some other priorities and, unfortunately, we are just 3 in the team so every move takes time to achieve since we really want to release nice products not full of bugs.

Anyway, I'm not trying to justify the amount of time for finally release this upgrade. We really wanted to make it long time ago but had some situations simply do not let we advance on this as fast as we initially planned... I hope this will be released this month.

Finally! That ship has sailed! Responsive design is standard in almost every theme, the huge mobile market is reality!

Don't hold your breath. The release date is set to the end of March!

I have no idea why it would take them this long to implement, but there you go.

I can only guess they are combining it with other fixes and updates or want us all to wait until they have made the changes to ALL of their themes and release them altogther???? So we have to wait a long time

I bet I can build one before them, and I'm not a programmer!

In the Marketplace someone has already built a responsive child theme - Classisky.

Not an ideal design for my site, but its built and you can always change the design if you don't want to wait for Appthemes.

@talent, i just checked out classisky which you suggested and it looks cool...Please have you used it yet ? if yes, what issues/problems did you have with it....I'll be awaiting your reply please.....
