I have bought a copy of classipress and I am using it as a website where musicians and people in the entertainment industry can create a profile of themselves instead of using it as a classified site. However I need the site to have the ability to allow people to add music files and video clips to their profile when creating a profile to give people an idea of what they sound like.

Suggest you to remove the profil author link and to use the add as profil

....etc....

Right. You need to have a list of music genre available so all audio and video files can be sorted easily and looks organized.
