It took me a few days to figure this one out.. But I've managed to embed a Custom Field search form in my site!! Woohoo...

You can view it in the sidebar here under 'Advanced Search'

This is coded specifically to the custom fields I have built in my site.

There are only 3 ads, so if you would like to see the results of a search, select the following:

London - North
2 Bedroom
1 Bathroom
Utilities Not Included
Furnished
Parking Available
Pets Allowed

Of course, once the site is launched and there are many more ads - these queries will populate more robustly providing more returns! This search works separately to the built in search.

I'm looking to edit my main search bar, searching the custom fields cp_price for min and max parameters.

I did find this plugin, which others may find useful; however, you need to structure your categories properly since this plugin uses categories to search by rather than custom fields.

@moabi... in this particular case, I've spent over 50 hours trying to accomplish this feature that is long overdue in classipress and much requested. There are numerous requests through wordpress post alone just to accomplish this without success and i have not married the two together.

if you take the time to review the forums, i have offered numerous assistance, tweaks, tutorials, etc.

I am trying to make my site unique and have adapted many things not available currently - but can be easily done if you take.. no, INVEST the time to work on figuring it out. it's easy for others to come to these forums and reap the benefits of long hours that others have INVESTED at no cost.

(this isn't against you personally) but I now take note and stand corrected, I will post a thread in the other forum topic announcing myself as a 'SERVICE PROVIDER' herein out where others can contract me for features they wish to obtain.

ok, good for you, as i told you, nothing personal,...it was more directed to the forum itself,
but yes it's maybe better to announce yourself as a service provider, otherwise people without any knowledge are going to start selling their poor service, and it would be a shame...
so good luck with this, i'm sure you'll provide some good help and i'm pretty sure many people are asking for this kind of service. (as we can see in the forum...)
