    Reminder: WordPress 3.1 = PHP4/MySQL4 End of Life

    That's right friends! Earlier this summer, it was announced that WordPress 3.1 will be the last version to support PHP4 and MySQL4.

    Background Info: Mark Jaquith is one of WordPress' lead developers & security gurus.

    If you're still using PHP4 and or MySQL4, now is the time to plan/your/path/to-upgrade

    P.S. 3.1 has an admin bar across the type, similar to what WordPress.com uses.. BuddyPress had it too. Might still have it, just haven't used it in a year....

    And if you don't want to use the admin bar, there's an option in ClassiPress 3.0.5.3 which allows you to disable it.

    So I'm looking my WP dashboard and I see that WP 3.1 is now available. Is it safe to do the upgrade considering my current system info below?:

    ClassiPress Version 3.0.5.3 (Professional Edition)
    WordPress Version WP 3.0.5
    PHP Version 5.2.16

    Yes. You shouldn't have any issues at all Jeff. Some of your plugins may not support 3.1, however.

    After upgrading to WP 3.1 my JR site(s) do not function / or even loas. I have posted this in troubleshooting as well.

    Good to hear that CP plays nice with WP 3.1. I'm also glad the transition to php5 and MySQL 5 is becoming final. Dreamhost has been PHP5 and MySQL5 ready for at least 3 years now, so anyone hosted there should be fine.

    Hi, I update the wp to 3.1 and I have ClassiPress 3.0.5.3, but on the ads, the click on the images, these are not seen, is the black background, it happens in firefox, explorer and opera, any solution to repect? put image.
