    Site Suggestion

    There are loads of snippets of code around in the forums that are not always easy to find, yet all of them can add something to a customised web site.

    Would it not be a good idea to have a 'Custom Code' Section in the Forum solely for users to post their customisations with instructions for others to use.

    This would also likely reduce some of the forum traffic whereby repeat questions are being asked because a search failed to find previous threads...

    In fact there are already threads for ClassiPress Mods & Tutorials | AppThemes Forum, JobRoller Mods & Tutorials | AppThemes Forum and Clipper Mods & Tutorials | AppThemes Forum. But some users do not pay attention to it.

    barukar, have you tried searching for anything in that forum? I have searched for loads of stuff and got no results only to post a question and then someone refers me to another post somewhere...

    What I meant was a subject whereby NO QUESTIONS can be placed, just answers with MOD CODE correctly titled as I have done before with instructions on how to remove tabs in the sidebar except google map, how to remove the price tag if price is $0.0 etc.

    For two weeks now I have been asking how to call up a 'category' in Classipress to resolve an issue and not one person or moderator has replied and neither can I find any reference to it yet classipress has its own 'ad categories' and does not use the WP ones, for example;

    look up category
    if category = 'x'
    then display cp_price = text
    else
    display cp_price.

    Now I know how to change the source code to add text after the price, but I can find no reference on how to call up a 'category' in order to achieve this basic mod.

    i agree. however, i think this matter has already been forwarded. i just hope it will be considered within a month for us to share customized codes to enhance WP theme designs.
