Spam and "fake" users

I was wondering if someone could recommend a good plugin to stop spammer and fake user registering on my site? The site has already a contact form with a catchpa.

I don't think spammers can be stopped other than captcha system. I was thinking of adding SMS or phone verification like the ones in Google when you register an account, but I don't know how.

Really this is very impotent to stop spamming . you can stop spamming by using Akismet plugins . and i think you can stop spam registration by using random question system .


you are right @warriorfullights if we use phone verification system we can stop spamming .

but we can reduce some spam user not all .
