Sticky regular posts are labeled Featured Ad

Not sure if it's normal behavior but when I do a search using the Global search bar on the front-end, the regular posts that are sticky are being labeled "Featured Ad" (Ribbon applied to Thumbnail), can we exclude those regular posts even though they are sticky?
For the record, I did include regular Posts to show up in the results because they hold relevant content to the site.
