I will try to do this on my site ... I really like and believe in its usefulness!

I imagine the result of a search that included advertisements and this map locating all the ads .. the next level!

That is pretty cool and would be a nice feature for a small site. Imagine a site that had several hundred ads....it would take the home page forever to load up.

But I have to disagree with you David.
Pretty simple you could add a cluster function to the map. With clustering the map loads at normal speed, you´ll have to click on each cluster icon to zoom in though, but thats a pretty normal behavior.

I haven´t done that with my map, because of low number of ads. Wondering of doing this though on 3.0 but haven´t started yet.
