    Directory Style - Exclude Categories

Would it be possible to have a spot in the setup to exclude categories for the directory to display?

Also, I currently have 7 or 8 parent categories, and I plan to leave it that way with no child categories. Currently below each category it says "No categories" -- when I went into the backend setup, I had the choice of 1-10 or ALL... but not NONE on the display of subcategories. Can we do this as well?

It's a possibility that the "show none" option could be in a future release but no confirmation yet.

You could perhaps do a search for a plugin to do this job for you. I haven't tested it myself, but this is the first one that came up when I looked http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/...gory-excluder/

Or, if you want to disable it you would need to edit /includes/theme-functions.php and search for "echo $subcats;" and comment it out.

Hi pepsi, the advanced-category-excluder plugin is really a nice plugin for sure, however, it currently does not work with
    PHP Version 5.2.13.

Ideally, I would love to see David create a field in Classipress / General Settings right under the Exclude Pages field named Exclude Categories that works exactly like exclude pages but for categories. Then we don't have to depend on plugins being updated,etc...

I hope we get this feature request, it would be great.

"o" subcategories option has been included in 3.0.2 which is now available, and the feature request to have an exclude categories field has been submitted for consideration. Will lock this thread now as there is a duplicate relating to this which will be updated.. http://appthemes.com/forum/showthrea...ude-Categories
