Map showing location of all listings

I was wondering if it would be possible to have a map showing the locations of all the listings? It would be quick way to start a search. Maybe even the option of having different types of place marks that represent each category.

If possible, to have list of all the categories in a tree view with checkbox. When a checkbox is clicked, all the listings for that category or its child's category will showup on the map. On click on the marker a balloon should show, category name, item price, item title and a link to detials page.

That sounds like it would work. Is this possible now?

It is a good idea and it should not take more than couple days to create a page (for the developers of appthemes) but like other requests this one is ignored. May be they are busy working on other Themes and doesn't have time for classipress .

I can assure you, none of the feature requests are ignored. They will all be reviewed and I will update as soon as I can give some indication of it - My fault that they haven't been updated recently but I am working on this. In the meantime, commenting and rating any threads for feature requests which you like are a great idea, because the more people who comment, the more the development team knows it's something people really want!
