Sold Ads Button

You have top ads overall and top ads today. How about a widget when someone does sell an item they can click sold on their profile and it shows most recent items sold. The only reason I am saying this is on a newer website with little traffic and ads someone may think it's not worth their time to add something if they see no activity. A sold area may increase the chances of them looking at the website as something that is worth spending the time to add their information, whereas right now if there are 90 categories and 70 ads it may look like a waste of time.

I think it`s a great idea.. As a matter of fact i had just logged in to request this feature on the upcoming version of wpclassi 3.0.3

you can already mark your ads as "sold" by clicking the pause button. I've modified a website recently to say "SOLD" when users pause their ads.

While the software may be able to use some more features in this area, it might spark you interest to know if you poke around the code a bit you could probably figure out how to use the pause button to show "sold" on items.

writing the wordpress query code to pull only sold items might be interesting though since "draft" status could mean exipired, but its obviously possible because the dashboard somehow figures out whats paused vs whats awaiting payment.

Anyways, I imagine we will probably wait until Wordpress 3.0 comes out since there will be a new array of post types, we will probably be able to move between post types, "sold" posts being one of those types. Just a guess, we are still many months away from this.

How about rather than using the pause button, adding a sold or taken button to do this?
This is something that would be good- keeps the ads up for SEO purposes.

Just like featured ads, I think it would be a good to show last 5 -10 items that got sold at the bottom of the page.

Topic has been discussed with the development team and I have logged separate requests for the SOLD button and SOLD ad widget so will update once I see progress on these..

WOuld love to see that ability in the next release to have customers mark their items as SOLD, and have the first image changed out for a 'sold' default image. Or add a "SOLD" mark to their listing up near the main photo. Giving users the ability to do this would save a lot on my current manual overhead.
