Anti-spam solution for search

Hi everyone,

I wonder if there would be possible to implement an anti-spam solution for search queries?

At the moment, I assume that nothing prevents an user to make as many search queries as he/she wants. In the worse case scenario, we can imagine that a bad bot could flood the search engine with infinite search queries, and blowing off the host, and the website.

In my opinion the best way to prevent this would be to filter the search queries by ip adress, i.e. an user would be allowed to make 5 sucessive queries, and then the search button would be blocked, for let's say 60 seconds.

Do you think, it would be possible to implement such solution, for security purposes? In my case, I would be interested to benefit from this for CP 3.0.4.
