Thread: Beginner Tutorials?

Beginner Tutorials?

Hey all,

I'm new to CP and am excited to get started (just purchased the DE)! However, as I am relatively new to web design/coding I had a few questions:

1. I have been reading through the forums and have seen many modifications to code that can help customize your site. Can anyone please explain or direct me to information where I can find out which programs to use, how to open and edit the code safely, where to upload the files, etc? Do I need something like Dreamweaver or can this be done with a free program/directly in wordpress?

2. Is there a list of getting started tutorials somewhere (I have already looked through the Installation/Configuration/Setup) tutorials prepared by AppThemes.
