    Can I add a dynamic sidebar to the left side of directory page?

    does anyone know of any tutorials on placing a dynamic sidebar to the left of directory-index?

    I am comfortable with editing my theme and have read / viewed videos on YouTube about adding a dynamic sidebar to your blog, but when I have tried these tips they result in the page displaying wrong...
