Changes needed to my classipress but don't know where to start :(

Hi

I am pretty good at changing things in terms of design (CSS and HTML). With PHP I can change most stuff with instruction fine.

When I bought ClassiPress I had the intention of using it for a vacation home listing site.

But having now installed it, there are several limitations of it for what I need.

I basically need this:

I need it so the home page displays all the home sizes such as 3 bedroom, 4 bedroom etc in a search function. Currently the search is limited to categories and listings are only allowed one category. I need listings to be able to choose as many categories as their home is applicable to.

But instead of city state and post code it needs to be something else like gated, with pool etc.

Also the prices are fixed in this theme, the listing only allows one price. The property owners have different prices per week for different times of year.

I know I can put custom fields in the form, but I don't know how I get them to display on the listing page itself? Are there short codes or something?

Like the price tag thing, I want to get rid of that and change it to "Price from". The owner would then put their lowest price in and it would appear there.

The search system I want will need users to put a max budget per week in, then all homes under their budget should show up.

Is this all easy to do and can someone point me in the right direction?
