    Converting "Core Field" to dropdown

    What is the procedure for converting one of the Core Fields in the layout, that offers "text box" only, into a "drop down" menu - so that the user can only input specific data?

    If this field were used for "Tags" or "Additional Tags", what needs to be done so the user can input more than 1 tag from the drop down.
